Abalone Garland Demitasse Pendant, Mid Century 1965 Silverplate, Rainbow Color Shell, Colorful Necklace

This is an abalone shell that was once repurposed into a button, and is now repurposed again to become this gorgeous pendant! I added the handle of a demitasse spoon in the 1965 Garland pattern - it is centered on the front of the button, and bent over to create a bail, with the remainder of the handle on the back. Even the back of this piece is interesting - it can be worn reversed, too. Like having two necklaces in one!

The shell colors are incredible - they remind me of a Monet painting. Just beautiful!

The pendant is about 1" wide x 1 1/4" long, and hangs from a 20" serpent chain.

As with all of my up-cycled silverware jewelry, there are various imperfections that naturally arise from use and age. These add charm and warmth to my unique creations. Please see photos, as they are part of my description.
