Silverplate Scarf Ring: Upcycled Danish Princess Art Deco Spoon Ring

The symmetrical design on this silverplated piece is classic Art Deco! The Danish Princess pattern features a stylized acanthus motif, and dates to 1938. The flatware was made by Holmes and Edwards. I turned the handle into a lovely, understated scarf ring.

The scarf ring measures 1 1/4" in diameter and has an opening of about 1". You can wear it with a heavier scarf on a single layer of fabric - like a pendant, or thread the ends of a thinner scarf through the opening. It's a great way to secure your scarf - and it looks beautiful, too!

I've shown the before and after of this rescued piece - clearly, it would no longer be a welcome piece at the dinner table, but too pretty to discard.
