Upcycled Celestial Disc Earrings: Vintage Tray Aluminum, Brass Sun & Silver Star

These remarkably lightweight earrings were cut from vintage, mid-century trays. The "moon" is textured aluminum, and the "sun" is brass with a Florentine design. I added a small silver star to complete the celestial concept.

I love the symbolism of these three icons - the sun representing life and warmth, energy and power. The moon, on the other hand, symbolizes femininity, intuition and emotional depth. And the stars are associated with guidance, inspiration, and dreams. Lots of symbolic meaning in these lightweight earrings.

These danglers measure 1 3/4" long, including the silver plated wires. The disks themselves are 1" in diameter.

As with all of my up-cycled silverware jewelry, there are various imperfections that naturally arise from use and age. These add charm and warmth to my unique creations. Please see photos, as they are part of my description.
