Upcycled Spoon Earrings: South Seas Silverplate Mid Century Iridescent Crystals

This lovely mid-century pattern is called South Seas and was made by Oneida, circa 1955. The wide end of the handle of this pattern is ho-hum, but at the neck is this wonderful, graceful rolling wave that just begs to become jewelry! I added an iridescent crystal accent to each. I can make these with birthstones, too. You can select yours from the pull-down variations menu.

The earrings are about 2" long including the wires.

As with all of my upcycled, repurposed flatware items, there are imperfections that have occurred over the years in the form of small scratches and little dings. These are to be expected for vintage flatware pieces, and are considered to be part of the charm of these pieces.
